Technology
Transformative Flexible Payload, Low Power Magnetic Levitation System
US Positronix (USP) has developed a levitation system that transports packages, cargo, and equipment throughout a warehouse or factory. The system provides a fully integrated and autonomous logistics solution that is both lower cost and more flexible than existing automation solutions.
DEFINITIONS
Intelligent Maglev Transport System
The solution is a material handling platform for any scale, workflow, payload or throughput, consisting of Intelligent Maglev Modules, low-cost robots (or Movers), and Warehouse Control Logic.
Intelligent Maglev Modules
Modular, 4 ft x 4 ft electromechanical systems that provide the magnetic forces needed to levitate and transport the low-cost robots (movers). Modules are interconnected to create levitation and propulsion zones of any size. Modules may be floor-mounted, or tabletop mounted as in a conveyor system.
Low cost-robots (Movers)
Movers are non-powered structures which magnetically interact with the Intelligent Maglev Modules to levitate and transport loads. The low-cost robots (movers) can be interconnected to increase their size, and load capacity. Standard mover sizes are designed to carry cargo of pallets, boxes, crates, cases.
Workflow Control Logic
A cloud or on-premises software solution controls the path of the low-cost robots (movers) to perform desired workflows, such as conveyance, sortation, or goods to person workflows. The software can be quickly adjusted, allowing new or additional workflows to be operated on the same Intelligent Maglev Modules.
